Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients undergoing lumbosacral spine surgeries under general anaesthesia.
  • •2\. Patients willing to give written and informed consent to participate in study.
  • •3\. Adult patients aged between 20 and 50 years.
  • •4\. Patient of either gender.
  • •5\. Patients belonging to ASA Grade I and Grade II.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. H/O allergic reactions to local anesthetics.
  • •2\. Patients on anticoagulant therapy and H/O coagulation disorders.
  • •3\. Local infection at the proposed site of puncture for caudal anaesthesia.
  • •4\. Patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders.
  • •5\. Patient with contraindication with caudal block like pilonidal sinus, congenital anomaly
  • •of spine or meninges.
  • •6\. Patient who had undergone previous back surgeries.
  • •7\. Patients with history of arrhythmias, heart block, hypotension, bradycardia or any cardiac
