Inclusion Criteria

All children presenting with status epilepticus with duration > 5 minutes.
Failure of first and second line antiepileptics
age group 2 to 14 years

Exclusion Criteria

All children with diagnosed muscular dystrophies on clinical examination.
severe hypotension(according to age )
severe atrial or ventricular block(on ecg)
metabolic diseases (hypoglycemia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, hyponatremia, hypenatremia, uremicencephalophaty, hepaticencephlopathy).
History of use of anticonvulsants before presenting to hospital.
Renal or Hepatic diseases on medical records and relevant investigations.

Primary Outcome Measures

Efficacy 24 hours It will be determined in terms of complete cessation of seizures within 30 minutes of initiation of therapy and absence of seizure recurrence after completing the last dose of anticonvulsant.
