(1) Systemically healthy subject [American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Grade 1 or 2].
(2) Absence of oral disorders like, desquamative gingivitis, mucocutaneous lesions, premalignant and malignant lesions, xerostomia, oral submucous fibrosis and other untreated long standing lesions.
(3) Age 18 - 75 years.
(4) Healed alveolar ridges (at least 4months after tooth extraction).
(5) Sufficient width, height, length and angulation of bone to accommodate an implant in native bone.
(6) No history of bone augmentation procedures at the implant site.
(1) Pregnant or lactating subjects.
(2) Severe bruxism.
(3) Failure to maintain good plaque control.
(4) Any systemic condition like uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, cancer, HIV, disorders that compromise wound healing, bone metabolic diseases, immuno-suppressive therapy which would preclude periodontal surgery.
(5) Presence of acute infectious lesions in the areas intended for implant surgery.
(6) Severely compromised inter occlusal distance.
(7) Uncontrolled periodontal diseases and/ or adjacent teeth that exceeded grade I mobility.
(8) Unrealistic expectations about the procedure.
(9) Subjects having tobacco habits.
(10) Subjects having psychological illness.
