- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method In this study, all in-patients of the University Hospital Jena aged 60 years and older will be included. They will be examined in a standardized assessment for delirium and its risk factors as well as for dementia. In a one day survey, general data of the patients and the current hospital stay will be collected. Alertness will be assessed by the Richmond Agitation and Sedation Scale (RASS), patients with delirium will be identified by the Confusion Assessment Method (CAM) on general wards and by the CAM-ICU in intensive care units.
