Inclusion Criteria

Elective cardiac surgery
- Sufficient knowledge of the German language
- Written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

- Inadequate knowledge of the German language, aphasia, and other inability to complete the self-report questionnaires or understand the clarification about the study
- Lack of consent to participate or unwillingness to cooperate (compliance)
- Age < 50 years
- Known dementia syndrome with lack of capacity to consent
