•The study include the peri natal mothers who
•ï?¶are attending antenatal clinic and plan to deliver a baby and follow up in a selected tertiary care hospital, Kelambakkam.
•ï?¶are physically stable
•ï?¶can read & understand Tamil
•ï?¶are willing to participate in the study
•B. The study include the neonates who
•ï?¶are with the gestational age of more than 34 weeks
•ï?¶are physically stable at the time of delivery (APGAR score- 8-10)
•ï?¶are having birth weight of 2.5 kg or more .

•A. The study excludes the peri natal mothers who
•ï?¶are having complications during the perinatal period.
•B. The study excludes the neonates who
•ï?¶are with associated congenital anomalies, extreme preterm & very low birth weight babies.
•ï?¶ are having APGAR less than 8.
•ï?¶are having birth weight less than 2.5 kg
•ï?¶ are under intensive care for therapeutic procedures.
