Inclusion Criteria
1. Equal to or greater than 16 years old,
2. Patients having cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB),
3. Extubation expected within 12 hours of admission to CVICU
Exclusion Criteria
1. Documented difficult intubation
2. Expected ventilation >12 hours
3. Clinician preference for the patient to receive ETT suction.
