Moderately elevated LDL cholesterol level: 116 - 190 mg/dL, non-smoker for at least 3 months, written informed consent
Allergies or intolerances against mushrooms or any other food ingredients used in the study, diseases of the liver, gall bladder and/or diabetes and other diseases that may influence the target parameters, pacemaker, intake of lipid-lowering drugs and other medications that may have an influence on the target parameters, (planned) pregnancy, lactation, planned changes in lifestyle, regular intake of supplements that contain ß-glucans or soluble fibers, vegan diet, regular intake of phytosterol-enriched margarine, drug abuse, limited legal capability, participating in another clinical trial.
