Children aged 6 to 11 enrolled in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd years of elementary school of a public school in the city of Santa Maria - RS - Brazil, and who responded positively to the invitation (written and spoken) to participate in the study; children whose parents or guardians voluntarily signed the Informed Consent Term.
Children with a history of chronic-degenerative diseases (diabetes, liver or kidney disease); children with edema; children with soy allergy; children who attended classes less than 80% of the days used for intervention in phase II of the study; children who missed any of the nutritional assessments.

Name Time Method Change in fat-free mass of children(grams/30 days), as measured by electrical bioimpedance,after the nutritional intervention.;After the nutritional intervention, fat free mass increased from 250 to 620 grams / 30 days, and this increase was statistically significant (p <0.001).
