Inclusion Criteria

Individuals aged 60 years or over (on the baseline of the study); of both genders; literate; and residing in a long-term care institution in the city of Juiz de Fora.

Exclusion Criteria

Older people who present a clinical condition that represents a contraindication for physical activity, even if of low impact, such as conditions of major cardiovascular alteration, decompensated glycemic level or severe rheumatology; or older people with a diagnosis of severe dementia that compromises the understanding of assessment tools and group intervention activities.

Primary Outcome Measures

Improve the participants's cognitive performance related to executive functions, attention, memory, praxis and perception assessed through results of neuropsychological assessment tests. Data collected within a maximum period of two months before and after the intervention by a dance program adapted for the older people.<br>From the statistical analysis, accounting and analysis of variance (ANOVA) and also via non- least detectable changes.

Improve of depressive symptoms and functionality of the participants measured by test results of GDS, Pfeffer and Katz tests applied within a maximum period of two months before and after the intervention.<br>From the statistical analysis, accounting and analysis of variance (ANOVA) and also via non- least detectable changes.
