Inclusion Criteria
All adult patients undergoing esophagectomy for cancer esophagus and gastroesophageal junction operated in the surgical oncology unit of Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences from 2015 onwards
Exclusion Criteria
Urgent surgery, American society of Anaesthesiologists-Physical status 4 and 5 , inoperable patient , patients in the enhanced pathway who could not comply with protocol
