The study population consist of all patients, admit to the Cardiology Department of Ghaem Hospital, who receive subcutaneous heparin injection. The sample size was calculated as eighty six
The patients who met the following criteria will include in the study: 1) subcutaneous heparin prescription (5,000 units per 1 mL, every 12 h ) by a physician, 2) full consciousness
pain and disease (such as blood coagulation, hepatic impairment, renal failure, nervous and sensory impairment in the injection site, spinal injury, diabetes, and vascular disorders, smoking or drug abuse, use of warfarin or phenobarbital, pain-relief interventions or use of analgesic medicines, redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site, willingness to participate in the study. interventional study or registry) during the last 3 months
