Inclusion Criteria

Western medicine diagnosis: referring to the 2016 SEPSIS 3.0 diagnostic criteria, SEPSIS is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by the host's maladjusted response to infection. SOFA score is increased by 2.

Diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine: refer to the standards for the diagnosis and efficacy of diseases and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine issued by the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine. The second symptom is irritability, dizziness, nausea and vomiting; Cyanosis, delirious delirium, purple and dark tongue, astringent or delayed pulse; The secondary symptoms were shortness of breath, shortness of breath, and faint maculae. A diagnosis can be made if the patient has one main symptom and one secondary symptom.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Duration of ICU stay < 5 days; 2. Aged <18 years; 3. Pregnant or lactating women; 4. Advanced malignant tumor; 5. Marshall score is greater than 20 ; 6. Patients were admitted to ICU with a history of esophageal, gastric and intestinal surgery or primary gastrointestinal injury.
