Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Age group 4\-8 years
  • •2\. Children with grossly mutilated primary maxillary and mandibular first and second molar requiring extraction with fully erupted adjacent tooth
  • •3\. Children requiring only short band and loop space maintainer

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patient with systemic conditions contraindicating the band and loop appliance placement
  • •2\. Patient requiring more than two space maintainers
  • •3\. Non restorable tooth immediately adjacent to extraction space
  • •4\. Extremely crowded dentition
