Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •a) 40 patients:
  • •\- age 18 till 35 years
  • •\- ultra high risk criteria for development of psychosis, as defined by McGorry et al. (2002\)
  • •Healthy controls:
  • •\- Matched for age, sex, ethnicity and IQ

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- previous psychotic episode for more than one week
  • •\- previous use of antipsychotics, amphetamine or cocaine
  • •\- medical disorder affecting brain function e.g. epilepsy
  • •\- participation in investigations with radio\-activity in the last year
  • •\- pregnancy
