Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • a) 40 patients:
  • \- age 18 till 35 years
  • \- ultra high risk criteria for development of psychosis, as defined by McGorry et al. (2002\)
  • Healthy controls:
  • \- Matched for age, sex, ethnicity and IQ

Exclusion Criteria

  • \- previous psychotic episode for more than one week
  • \- previous use of antipsychotics, amphetamine or cocaine
  • \- medical disorder affecting brain function e.g. epilepsy
  • \- participation in investigations with radio\-activity in the last year
  • \- pregnancy
