Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Age \> 18 years;
- •2\.Dengue infection confirmed by either antigen detection e.g. PCR for RNA, NS1Ag or antibodies detection e.g. IgM ELISA, paired IgG ELISA methods;
- •3\.Newly detected pleural effusion of at least 2 centimeters detected by chest ultrasound at posterior part of right diaphragm in upright position in 24 to 48 hours after fever has disappeared.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. An underlying disorder causative of pleural effusion e.g. tuberculous effusion, malignancy effusion, cirrhosis, heart failure, etc.
- •2\.Contraindication to CPAP, e.g., coma, shock or known intolerance for NIV/CPAP
- •3\.Pregnancy
- •4\.No informed consent
- •5\. Cannot communicate with Thai or English language
