Inclusion Criteria
Patients with chronic HBV infection defined by HBsAg positive more than 6 months.
Exclusion Criteria
- pregnancy
- patients with the conditions that may alter the immune system, for example; HIV infection, cancer, autoimmune disease, receiving immunosuppressive drugs and active infection.
- HCV and HIV co-infection
- HBV infected patients with decompensated cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma
