Inclusion Criteria
1. Clinician diagnosed asthma
2. Baseline serum vitamin D levels <20 ng/mL
3. History of >= 1 exacerbation in the last 12 months
Exclusion Criteria
1. Chronic respiratory disorders other than asthma
2. Chronic oral corticosteroid therapy
3. Already on vitamin D supplementation
4. Unwillingness to participate in study
