Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Age group: 18 \- 60 years
- •2\. Physical status: ASA physical status 1\-2
- •3\. Undergoing thyroidectomy under GA with tracheal intubation.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients were excluded if
- •1\. A history of pre\-operative sore throat
- •2\. upper respiratory tract infection
- •3\. chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- •4\. pregnant females
- •5\. Mallampati grade \>2
- •6\. known allergies to study drug
- •7\. those who required more than one attempt at intubation
