Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients of either gender aged between 18 to 65 years
  • •2\.ASA Physical Status 1 and 2
  • •3\.Presenting for elective lower limb, perineal surgery under spinal anesthesia in supine position
  • •4\.Expected duration of surgery not exceeding 2 hours

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients not consenting for spinal anaesthesia
  • •2\.Height of patients \< 150 cm or \> 180 cm
  • •3\.Patients with known allergy to ropivacaine
  • •4\.Patients with spinal abnormalities
  • •5\.Patients with coagulopathies
  • •6\.Patients having any contraindication to spinal anaesthesia, and
  • •7\.Pregnant women
