Inclusion Criteria
1)All women with Abnormal uterine bleeding scheduled for dilation and curettage.
2)Women who need endometrial curettage prior to surgery
Exclusion Criteria
1) Women allergic to lidocaine,
2) Profuse uterine bleeding ,
3) Profuse white discharge ,
4) Impaired liver functions,
5) Unable to understand VAS (visual analogue scale of 10)
