1.the patients with age of ≥15 years
2.the patients with sepsis based on these 2 criteria:
1)presence of clinically documented or suspected infection
2)presence of ≥ 2 of 4 signs of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), i.e.;
2.1)body temperature >38°C or <36°C
2.2)heart rate >90 beats/min
2.3)respiratory rate >20 breaths/min or PaCO2 ≤32 mmHg
2.4)WBC count >12,000 cells/mm3 or <4,000 cells/mm3, or immature form (band form) >10%
3.the patients whose ScvO2 was/were measured within 24 hours after the diagnosis of sepsis
the patients whose medical records were irretrievable
