- Brief Summary
Is hip replacement using a screw cub as a procedure to obtain good results? If the sphericity is not used, it is possible to use a screw-on, screw-in cup or glue it with cement. The participant of the study is a patient who, during the operation, was found to have no spherical shape that would allow cementless insertion of the acetabulum of the hip joint. The key outcome is the hip joint function at surgery. The limitations of this study are its retrospective nature, as well as the fact that there are complications that result in revision arthroplasty. The use of the "screw cup" as a rescue procedure in the event of failure to obtain the sphericity necessary to seat the "press fit" uncemented cup allows for over 64% good and very good results in a minimum of 2 years of observation.
