Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •an implant site without acute infection or bone defects; a bone crest ≥7 mm; a full\-mouth plaque score (modified plaque index \[mPI]) and full\-mouth bleeding score (bleeding on probing \[BOP]) ≤25%; ≤10 cigarettes per day if a smoker; and a peri\-implant keratinised tissue width ≥2 mm.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •systemic medical conditions such as diabetes and any medication that could influence healing of soft or hard tissue.
  • •full\-mouth plaque score (modified plaque index \[mPI]) and full\-mouth bleeding score (bleeding on probing \[BOP]) more than 25%; 10 and more cigarettes per day if a smoker; and a peri\-implant keratinised tissue width less than 2 mm.
