Exclusion Criteria

cognitive impairment, uncorrected impairment of hearing or vision, actual psychiatric disease, actual or past neurological disease, 39 years and younger, 81 years and older

Primary Outcome Measures

The primary outcome is cognitive plasticity, i.e the improvement of performance after a cognitive intervention.<br>The following tests are used:<br><br>- Verbal Learning Memory Potential test (VLMPt) – unpublished german translation (plasticity of verbal memory)<br>- Position Learning Potential test (PLPt) – unpublished german translation (plasticity of nonverbal memory)<br>- Verbal Fluency test (VFt) – unpublished german translation (executive plasticity) <br>
Secondary Outcome Measures

The relationship between cognitive plasticity (CP) and sociodemographic factors (age, gender, education), clinical factors (body mass index - BMI), sleep quality (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index - PSQI), depression (Becks Depression Index, 5th edition - BDI-V), and subjective memory impairment (Subjective Cognitive Impairment-Questionnaire - SCI-Q)) and performance on neuropsychological tests.<br>The following neuropsychological tests will be used:<br>Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer’s Disease (CERAD-Plus), Leistungsprüfungssystem with subtest 4 (LPS 4), subtest 7 (LPS 7) and subtest 9 (LPS 9), Wechsler Memory Scale – revised Version (WMS-R) with subtests „digitspan forward” and „digitspan backwards”, Brief Test of Attention (BTA), Stroop Farb-Wort-Interferenz-Test (Stroop color and word test) with subtests „Farbstrich benennen (color naming)”, „Farbwort lesen (word reading)”, „Interferenzbedingung (interference)”, and Modified Card Sorting Test (MCST).
