Inclusion Criteria

All children between 0 and 6 years, which get in the St. Elisabeth-Hospital an adenoidectomy alone or in combination with a paracentesis with or without insertion of a tympanostomy tube.

Exclusion Criteria

Native language not German.
In-Patient stay more than one night.
Children with grave multi-handicap or syndromal primary disease.

Primary Outcome Measures

Average number of single doses of analgesics until the third postoperative day.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Parental sociodemographic background and attitudes about analgesics.<br>Data about the children's pain intensity, return to normal fluids intake and daily activities.<br>Resting time in the recovery room.<br>Number of administered analgesics on the general ward and at home.<br>Pain scores with KUSS and Faces-Rev. when compiled at hospital.<br>Side effects and nausea/vomiting.
