Inclusion Criteria
- •(a) age of 18 to 65 years; (b) a history of at least two years of continuous consumption of methamphetamine by a vapor inhalation model about 0.5 to 1 g/day; (c) a diagnosis of drug dependence and MDD based on DSM-5 criteria and history of suicide attempt in the past or the existence of suicidal ideation in the last 12 months; (d) being in the abstinence phase for at least six and not more than 12 months and the presence of PAWS in the depressed group; (e) the history of suicide attempt at least once and at most three times; (f) body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 35 kg; and (g) lack of suicide attempts and suicidal ideation in the control group.
Exclusion Criteria
- •(a) history of seizure, head trauma, endocrine disruptions, cardiovascular disease or other specific chronic diseases; (b) treatment in the last 6 months with antidepressants, neuroleptics, sedatives, glucocorticoids, appetite suppressants, estrogens, dopamine medications; (c) Experience of any extraordinary stress at present; and (d) pregnancy, hormone intake, or any cortisol simulants or suppressants.
