Patients undergoing mitral valve surgery for thoracotomy were enrolled. The patients were American Society of Anesthesiologists Patient Status (ASA PS) I or II, and at least 20 years old
1) urgent or emergent case
2) co-operation case for another disease
3) ventricular ejection fraction under 40 %
4) previous pulmonary hypertension or previous pulmonary artery occlusive pressure over 25 mmHg
5) intraatrial or intraventricular shunt patient
6) previous cardiac arrhythmia patient
7) patient who received anticoagulation medication during pre operative period
