Inclusion Criteria
1.total 100 ASA I and II patients with gall stone disease posted for laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
2. patients who give written informed consent.
Exclusion Criteria
- [atient refusal
-history of coronary artery disease/ congestive heart failure/ diabetes melliutus/ renal insufficiency/ severe hypertension/ peptic ulcer.
-patients on anti emetics or steroids
-pregnant females
-patients requiring large iv fluid for intraoperative hypotension.
-cancer patients on opioids

Name Time Method 1. to assess the efficacy of administration of 5% dextrose perioperatively in reducing the incidence of PONV in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. <br/ ><br>2. to see the difference in consumption of rescue antiemetics to combat PONV in postoperative period in two groups taken up for study.Timepoint: to be followed upto 24 hours postoperatively
