Inclusion Criteria

Al inborn neonates weighing between 1000-1500g in whom enteral feeding would be started within 96 hours of life

Exclusion Criteria

1-Major congenital malformation including Tracheo-Esophageal Fistula, Oesophageal

Atresia, Duodenal atresia interfering or delaying the feed initiation.

2-Chromosomal abnormalities,

3-Perinatal asphyxia (APGAR score of <5 at 5min) or encephalopathy due to any

reason,

ï?? out born status,

ï?? Intestinal perforation before initiation of feeding,

ï?? Infants with Absent or Reversed End Diastolic Flow(AEDF/REDF) in antenatal USG

ï?? Infants who are severely sick, on invasive ventilation or shock,

ï?? Infants in whom enteral feeding could not be started within 96 hours of life.
