Inclusion Criteria

Previous diagnosis of unipolar depression by experts or current diagnosis as part of the study assessment
Current minimum sum score of 9 on the GRID-HAMD17 rating
Ongoing medication, psychotherapy or other S3 guideline-compliant treatment for depression
Sufficient understanding of the German language

Exclusion Criteria

Signs of increased risk of suicidal tendencies (GRID-HAMD Item 3 score greater than 2)
Psychotic symptoms
Bipolar disorder/manic symptoms
Disorders belonging to the schizophrenia spectrum
Substance dependence
