Inclusion Criteria
This study includes children aged 6 months to 18 years undergoing CBC studies in the Department of Paediatrics in Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Children with known thalassemia or other hemoglobinopathies
2.Children who underwent blood transfusion within the last 3 months of evaluation
3.Children undergoing chemotherapy.
4.Children with known blood cancer, ITP and other blood disorders.
5.Children who are a known case of Iron deficiency anaemia.
6.Children whose parents did not respond to calls or could not be contacted.
7.Children whose parents deny consent for haemoglobin electrophoresis
