- Target Recruitment
- 43
All children with proven non-syndromic premature craniosynostosis of one or more cranial sutures undergoing surgical correction
- Age between 4 and 18 months
- Parents consent to study participation
- Patients with a secondary diagnosis that may affect the measurements, such as:
* Any CSF circulation abnormalities not related to synostosis.
* Cerebral anomalies or space-occupying lesions.
* Changes in the venous system of the head leading to outflow congestion not related to synostosis.
* Cardiovascular abnormalities leading to increased venous pressure.
- Patients in whom, from a medical or anesthesiological point of view, an extended operation time of max. 40 minutes is not justifiable, for example in the case of cardiopulmonary secondary diseases with increased perioperative risk or immune compromise and increased risk of infection.
- Patients in whom the selected standardized anesthetic parameters would have negative health effects due to a secondary condition.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The aim is to obtain the following values during the 20-minute intracranial pressure and blood flow measurement under standardized anesthetic conditions:
- Intracranial pressure
- Perfusion parameters (O2C): cSO2, rcHb, cvelocity and cFlow
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - Blood pressure
- pressure reactivity index
- ?perfusion parameters (cSO2, rcHb, cvelocity and cFlow)
