- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method How far can the VR system contribute to an effective, multimodal pain therapy for the treatment of chronic back pain in older people (effectiveness/effectiveness)? The following aspects are examined in conjunction with this:
• Change in pain intensity and pain-related impairment
• Changes in the maximum strength of the trunk muscles and muscular imbalances
• Change in fear-avoidance beliefs (kinesiophobia)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method How user-friendly is the applied VR system (hardware) with the integrated pain therapy program (focus on software) for older, chronic back pain patients? (usability)
What influence does the use of the VR system have on the health-related quality of life of older, chronic back pain patients? (subjective health)
What influence does the use of the VR system have on the acceptance of the therapy programme among older people with chronic back pain? (acceptancy)
