Inclusion Criteria

• Age 18-65
• Assessed substance abuse disorder or OCD (ICD-10 or DSM-IV criteria)
• Patient approves to be evaluated
• Disorder was treated with a DBS
• Patients have to be capable to give consent
• Written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

• paranoide-hallucinatory episode in the last 6 months
• current depressive disorder
• current organic or pharmacological psychotic episode
• pregnancy or breast-feeding
• suicidal tendencies or violent behaviour in the last six weeks
• serious or instable physical disease or brain tumor
• clinical relevant internal or neurological disease
• Withdrawal of informed consent
• FDG-PET contradiction

Primary Outcome Measures

Change of impulsivity will be assesed with a delay discounting paradigma which results in a k-parameter (a high k-paramater indicates high impulsivity and a low k-parameter indicates low impuslvity) and the the baseline k-parameter (assesment before operation) will be compared to the acute effects of the on/off condition.
Secondary Outcome Measures

Change of resting-state metabolism will be assessed with FDG-PET. Effects of modulation shall be visualised by comparing the on and off condition.
