To check the effectiveness of a Sealant and a Varnish in preventing dental decay when painted on last back tooth which has just come into the mouth.

Health Condition 1: null- Children aged 6-8 years of age with newly erupted non carious 1st permanent molars. Operculum covering 1/4th of the occlusal surface and presence of 1 or more interproximal lesions on other teeth.

Inclusion Criteria

Newly erupted non carious 1st permanent molars with operculum covering at least one fourth of the tooth surface

First permanent molars with deep pit and fissures or early enamel lesions with ICDAS 0,1,2,3 scores on occlusal surface and no caries present on other surfaces

Presence of one or more inter proximal lesions on other teeth

Satisfactory oral hygiene with a simpli�ed oral hygiene index score (OHI-S) of less than or equal to 3

Satisfactory cooperative behaviour, Frankl score 3 or 4

Subjects using fluoridated dentrifices.

Exclusion Criteria

History of any medical disease that might interfere with the study

Long-term regimen of medication that could affect the salivary flow and diet modification

Developmental defects of enamel and History of abnormal parafunctional activity

Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment/ with intraoral devices

Previously placed restorations on first permanent molars

History of allergies to resins and Children of parents who do not consent for the study.
