To study the effect of single agent tablet Zinc(50mg), Xylocaine (10%) spray and tablet zinc (50mg) along with Xylocaine (10%) spray when given together in reducing the incidence of postoperative sore throat in patients undergoing General Anaesthesia.

Inclusion Criteria

1. Age- 18 years to 60 years

2. ASA I to III

Exclusion Criteria

1.Refusal of patient to participate in study

2.ASA IV

3.Patients allergic to Zinc or Xylocaine

4.Patients with history of other form of allergies

5.Patients with history of Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis/Laryngitis/any pre-existing pharyngeal or laryngeal pathologies

6.Confirmed or suspected case of COVID 19

7.Smokers

8.Surgeries extending more than 3 hours

9.Surgeries done in prone position as Glyccopyrolate will be required

10.Patients with difficult airway

11.Surgeries requiring nasal intubation
