  • •\- Elective colorectal surgery
  • •\- Age \> 18 year
  • •Are the trial subjects under 18? no
  • •Number of subjects for this age range:
  • •F.1\.2 Adults (18\-64 years) yes
  • •F.1\.2\.1 Number of subjects for this age range 100
  • •F.1\.3 Elderly (\>\=65 years) yes
  • •F.1\.3\.1 Number of subjects for this age range 300

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Pregnancy
  • •\- severe COPD
  • •\- Acute cardiovascular syndrom 6 weeks prior surgery
  • •\- Hemodialysis
  • •\- General anesthesia administered 1 month prior surgery
  • •\- The impossibility to sign / to understand the informed consent
  • •\- Intraoperative complications that requires mechanical ventilation or vasoactive drugs in the postoperative period
