Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Cooperative children between the age group of 6\-10 years with Frankel behavior rating scale (FBRS) score of 3 or 4 having bilaterally involved vital primary mandibular molars(symptom free, deep carious lesion approaching or encroaching the pulp/ cariously exposed pulp associated with spontaneous pain) indicated for pulp therapy
- •,The tooth should have had no history of infection (abscess) or swelling and no evidence of periapical pathosis or soft tissue infection/ inï¬â??ammation near site of injection.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Medically compromised patients\- with known history of cardiovascular, hepatic, epilepsy, renal disease, uncontrolled diabetes and patients on antiplatelet/anticoagulant medications.
- •,Patients with known history of plasma cholinesterase deficiency and patients known to be allergic to amide local anesthetics
- •,Evidence of infection near the proposed injection site as this might affect the efï¬?cacy of local anaesthesia.
- •,Non vital teeth and teeth other than primary mandibular molars.
- •,Intake of analgesics on the day of treatment.
