Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •indication for cardiac surgery
  • •patient consent signed
  • •elective surgery
  • •age over 18 years
  • •persistent postoperative bleeding defined as drainage loss of 100 ml / 30 min or more than 200 ml / h after arrival at the intensive care unit

Exclusion Criteria

  • •patient with preoperatively known treatment\-relevant coagulation disorder (haemophilia A / B, APC\-resistance, factor XIII deficiency, HIT\-II, etc.)
  • •pregnancy or breastfeeding
