Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Aged 18\-65 years
  • 2\. ASA I\-II patients scheduled for endoscopic micro\-laryngeal laser surgery

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patients with stridor,
  • 2\. Patients on chronic antitussive medications for diseases other than the larynx
  • 3\. Psychiatric patients on medication
  • 4\. ASA III \& IV
  • 5\. patients with coagulation disorder
  • 6\. Patients on analgesics or beta\-blockers,
  • 7\. Patients with hypersensitivity to the study drug
  • 8\. Mallampati classification III and IV and
  • 9\. Patients requiring more than one attempt for endotracheal intubation.
