Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Males or females 4 to 18 years of age.
- •2\.Active VKC
- •3\.Patients were required to have experienced 1 or more recurrences of VKC during the previous year.
- •4\.Only the patients (or patientâ??s guardian) who consent to be included in the study and sign on the consent form attached as annexure 1 will be included in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patients will be excluded if they demonstrated ocular anomalies other than VKC affecting the ocular surface.
- •2\.Abnormalities of lid anatomic features, nasolacrimal drainage, or blinking function.
- •3\.Active ocular infection or history of ocular herpes, varicella zoster or vaccinia virus infection.
- •4\.Any ocular disease that would require topical ocular treatment during the study.
- •5\.Presence or history of severe systemic allergy at study entry.
- •6\.Topical or systemic corticosteroids within 1 week; topical or systemic immunosuppressive drug within 90 days before enrolment.
- •7\.Scraping of the vernal plaque within 1 month; or any other ocular surgery within 6 months before baseline.
