Inclusion Criteria

All critically ill patients, who were admitted to the medical ICU of Songklanagarind Hospital during the study period, were enrolled.

Exclusion Criteria

We excluded patients, who were comfort-care patients, had been readmitted to the medical ICU during same period of hospitalization, those who had received vitamin D supplementation or were diagnosed with vitamin D intoxication.
