a.Age >= 18 years
b.Pain and tenderness over costochondral junction
c.Pain score >= 4 on the numerical rating scale(NRS) on a daily basis
a.Congenital abnormalities of the chest wall
b.Clinical evidence of Tietze Syndrome
c.History of thoracotomy and presence of intercostal neuralgia
d.Cardiopulmonary or other systemic causes of anterior chest wall pain
e. Costosternal Syndrome secondary to other causes
f.Contraindication or History of adverse reaction to anesthetic agents or corticosteroids.
g.History of intervention or surgery for treatment of Primary Costosternal Syndrome
h.Anatomical abnormality near target injection site.
i.Untreated cutaneous infection, systemic illness, or immunocompromised state
j.History of bleeding tendency or use of anticoagulants.
k.Patientâ??s refusal.
l.Improvement of pain with conservative managements.
