Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Men 19 to 60 years old with a history of pain or discomfort perceived in the prostate
- •region with no other lower urinary tract pathology for a minimum of 3 of the last 6 months
- •2\) National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index total score greater than 15
- •3\) Ability to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) History of other lower urinary tract pathology such as urinary tract cancer, urinary tract infection including acute prostatitis, neurogenic bladder, and surgery
- •2\) Contraindication of hyperbaric oxygen therapy such as pneumothorax, cardiovascular surgery, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, upper respiratory infection, fever, and cancer
- •3\) Participants who were diagnosed as infectious or inflammatory disease, and musculoskeletal disease within recent 3 months
- •4\) Men with female spouses who are pregnant, breastfeeding or refuse contraception
