This study is to compare the effect between Propofol and Etomidate on seizure duration, Hemodynamic changes and the recovery time in modified Electro Convulsion Therapy.

It is prospective double blinded study

入选标准

•1 Patients relative given consent 2 ASA GRADE I AND II 3 Age range Adults aged 18 years to 50 years 4 ECT Indication Patients diagnosed with psychiatric conditions for which ECT is indicated.

排除标准

•1 Patients relative refusal 2 ASA Grade more than 2 3 Known Allergy Patients with a known allergy or adverse reaction to study drug 4 Severe Cardiovascular Disorders Individuals with severe uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions e.g unstable angina recent myocardial infarction 5 Pregnancy and Lactation Pregnant or Lactating women 6 Epilepsy 7 Neuromuscular disorder.

For better knowledge of how patients respond to propofol and etomidate before, during and after Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) in order to better comprehend the anesthetic impact.

时间窗: 3 months

To report any adverse effects(24 months)
