All hemodynamically stable patients with traumatic chest injury who present within 48 hours of injury with hemothorax or hemopneumothorax
1. Excluding paediatric age group 18 yrs or younger and also 80 years or older.
2. Massive hemothorax needing thoracotomy
3. Hemodynamically unstable patients.
4. Patients having Traumatic brain injury
5. Patients having significant air leak at presentation
6. Patient needing intubation and mechanical ventilation on presentation at Emergency Department (ED)
7. Other associated injuries that prolongs hospital stay
