Inclusion Criteria
- •patients 45 years or older who are scheduled for elective non\-cardiac surgery
- •\- patients who will be monitored with intermittent blood pressure monitoring as part of routine care
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- emergency surgery
- •\- pregnancy
- •\- American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status classification V or VI
- •\- blood pressure difference between left and right arm of more than 20 mmHg
- •\- invasive blood pressure monitoring
- •\- heart rhythms other than sinus rhythm
