- Patients of the intervention group and control group I: diagnoses of an alcohol addiction according to ICD 10 and DSM IV
- sufficient ability to communicate

- Actual psychotrope medication
- internistic diseases, which were contraindications for the forced volume intake
- For the alcohol addicted patients: grand mal during detoxification and a delirium tremens
- for healty controls: abuse or addiction of alcohol
- suicidal tendency and endangerment of others.

Name Time Method Changes in alcohol craving after a forced volume intake measured by a visual analog scale 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, 90 and 120 minutes after an alcohol cue exposure session.

Name Time Method Comparison of the association between the alcohol craving and plasma concentrations of ghrelin, ANP, argenine vasopressin and leptin between the intervention group and the control group I at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, 90 and 120 minutes after the alcohol cue exposure session.
