Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Healthy volunteers; of both genders; aging between 18 and 40 years; who do not report the presence of any persistent pain condition in the last 6 months; volunteers diagnosed with myofascial pain according to the DC/TMD; with pain duration greater than or equal to 3 months and with pain report in the last 15 days; primary complaint of pain in the area of the masseter and/or temporal muscles, with the presence of simultaneous pain in the preauricular area being accepted as a secondary complaint
Exclusion Criteria
- •Pregnant women; lactating; high\-performance athletes; active individuals by the IPAQ questionnaire; individuals in physical training; individuals with chronic generalized pain, individuals with fibromyalgia, or neurological diseases; high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems; psychiatric conditions; use of analgesics, antidepressant drugs, membrane stabilizers, benzodiazepines, or any other medication with CNS action; positive answer to one or more questions in the PAR\-Q Questionnaire.
